Natalie was the sole Health and Safety Manager in a well-established NZ building and construction company (50+ employees) for the last 3 years.
She has a wealth of first-hand knowledge and experience of working in high-risk areas, working with multiple PCBUs and preparing, implementing and completing all of the policies, processes and procedures to ensure workers are safe at work. Natalie understands the reality and requirements of Health and Safety in an office environment - as well as out in the field.
Passionate about changing how NZ companies view Health and Safety, Natalie describes it like this: “In NZ Health and Safety has historically been seen as a hindrance, creating more work, too many documents, too many rules - I see it as extremely important to keep everyone safe and healthy. I’m sure all anyone wants is to have people be able to do their jobs and then go home to their families in the same way in which they left them”
Natalie is currently completing the final year of her Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
