Rob McKenzie

H&S Consultant

If anyone knows how to stay safe while doing dangerous work, Rob does. While he originally completed a BSc Hons degree in Economics and Maths in the UK (and worked in banking)  - Rob ditched this all in 2012 to start a career in the Film Industry. Here he worked as a stunt performer and rigger on projects like Guardians of the Galaxy, Edge of Tomorrow, Power Rangers, Avatar, Sweet Tooth, and many others.

Stunt work and rigging involves doing extremely dangerous work – the key being to do this in the safest possible way. Rob has been set on fire, fallen from 18 meter heights, fallen off horses, been thrown off  motorbikes you name it. Rob really understands the extreme importance of following processes and safety protocols to ensure that no one gets hurt.

With an eye for safety issues and a practical can do attitude that ensured stunts were still completed, Rob began working as a Safety Officer on film sets in 2014. He has covered construction work, water work, stunt work, special effects work (including explosions, fires, building collapses, etc).  Rob understands working at heights, has an EWP license, WTR and Forks endorsements, holds a commercial diving license and PADI Divemaster, and is an experienced outdoor rock climbing instructor.

Rob completed NEBOSH IGC in October and is a great addition to our team.
